Please subscribe and read our sidebar before you post! I think the thing that makes Blunt seem weaker than blade is that there isn't a lot of good Blunt loot.

If you max blade, weapons like The Ebony Blade, Umbra, Dawn/Duskfang, Chillrend, Goldbrand, & Sufferthorn are all great options to have for your character. For Blunt Users, Hatred's Heart & Rockshatter are good, Volendrung, & Calliben's Grim Retort are okay, and the rest of the quest related blunt items are just lackluster. On my current character I am maxing Blunt just so I can get the Great Axe version of Shadowrend. I think the two blades do different jobs as Thornblade is a Longsword and Sufferthorn is a dagger. I've found, for me, the best way to go about setting up what weapons I want to carry is to go for a Primary Weapon, a Secondary Weapon, and then to bring along several daggers as lightweight emergency weapons. I'd never make Sufferthorn my main weapon, but it's an amazing dagger to keep on you in case your main weapon breaks or you get disarmed in the middle of a fight.

Sony ta-e611 manual. Thornblade makes a very good Primary Weapon, the Disintegrate Armor enchantment is very nice, especially in Oblivion Gates. Basically, my personal set up is Dawn/Duskfang for my Primary Weapon (though if you prefer Thornblade, it's equally fine here, Goldbrand & Shadowrend are also good choices), Chillrend as my Secondary Weapon (It's damage/weight ratio is really good, another good option for this slot is the 0 weight version of Umbra) and several daggers including Sufferthorn, The Crimson Eviscorator and one I enchanted myself for Soul Trap since I don't use Umbra as my secondary weapon. (Mehrunes Razor and The Blade of Woe are also really good daggers).
